Thigh Muscle Control: Quadricep, Hamstrings, Hip Flexors and Glutei

This set of video lessons shows you simple exercises for learning to activate your quadriceps (the muscles at the front of your thighs), the hamstrings (at the back), your glutes (butt muscle) and hip flexors.

As you activate and relax these muscles, you'll also learn to feel them

If you've never worked on muscle control before, these muscles are a good starting point because they are relatively large, relatively easy to activate and relax, and, because of their largeness, also easy to feel.

A range of exercises has been included, including the exercises that I use for the difficult cases, students who have trouble activating and feeling these muscles. 

The first set of videos focuses on the front of the leg. You'll learn to activate and feel your quadriceps and hip flexors. The second set focuses on the back of the leg. In this case, you'll learn to activate and feel your hamstrings and glutes. 

In each case, the first goal is to activate these muscles with specific movements. Afterwards, with the experience of these muscles, the goal is to activate them at will simply by focusing on those muscles. 

The videos are fairly short with a focus on clear instructions and exercises. You can do the exercises while watching the video and then try them by yourself. 

You then get to practice activating those muscles in several different yoga poses so that afterward, you can activate or relax these muscles at will.
